About the band

Seventrain is a raw, bluesy, hard rock metal band from San Diego featuring former members of Cage and Tourniquet. Influences include Ozzy, Badlands, Audioslave, Judas Priest, BLS and many more.

Conceived in the fall of 2012, Seventrain first performed together at a memorial show for a local musician and friend. Based out of Southern California, each of the individual band members roots run deep with the hard rock/metal community. Seventrain featured guitarist and founder Eric Horton (Cage), vocalist Jon Campos (Jon Campos & the Incurables), bassist Dino Andino (Tourniquet) . The self-titled debut album was independently self released worldwide in 2014. The album charted on the CMJ Loud Rock Top 40 at #36 it's first week to radio on February 25th, 2014 and received high praise reviews by critics worldwide. In addition, Seventrain was nominated for Best Hard Rock Album of the Year at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards.

Since the albums release, Seventrain has headlined numerous regional venues as well as having the honor of being asked to perform with the likes of Pat Travers, Michael Schenker, Skid Row, Black Star Riders, Saving Abel, Red Dragon Cartel, Saliva, Geoff Tate, Puddle of Mudd, Lynch Mob, Ratt, etc.

Seventrain released a second album, Back on Track, with the very talented singer Erik Koonze. Unfortunately, life got in the way of numerous members who had to depart. At this time, we were very fortunate to find a phenomenal guitarist, Dave Odegaard (solo artist/composer for music in TV shows, movies, and video games), for coming in and handle the other half of the guitar duties.

The key members, (Eric Koonze, Dave Odegaard, Eric Horton, Greg Rupp and Calvin Lakin) of Seventrain are now in place. Seventrain is currently working on its third effort to be released in 2022 through Steel Cartel Records. Please keep your eyes and ears open for all our news updates and continual content coming out prior to our next release. We look forward to releasing and performing all our songs in the very near future.
